My Organic 6 Ingredient Trader Joe's Turkey Chili

A wholesome take on a favourite classic: Chili

Fall in love with my super simple organic chili recipe! Not only is it hearty and delicious, but it’s also good for the soul and can be made vegan. If you don’t live close to a Trader Joe’s you can find the same, if not very similar ingredients at your local grocery store!

Chili

I N G R E D I E N T S

  • 1 can organic tomato paste

  • 1 can organic fire roasted tomatoes

  • 1 can organic baked beans

  • 1 pound of organic lean ground turkey

  • 1 cup organic frozen corn

  • 4 sticks organic celery, chopped

  • Spices: salt and pepper to taste, 1.5 tbsp smoked paprika, 1 tbsp chili powder

  • Optional: avocado, cilantro, hot sauce (for topping)

D I R E C T I O N S

  • In a large pot over medium heat, drizzle olive oil, add 1 cup of water, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, beans (in the sauce), chopped celery, frozen corn, spices and mix then until combined and cover with a lid

  • While the chili is simmering, fully cook the turkey in a pan over medium heat in olive oil and season with salt and pepper (to taste)

  • Once turkey is cooked, add to pot with chili and mix until combined

  • Lower heat to simmer and cook for another 5-10 minutes for extra flavour

  • Serve hot and top with avocado, cilantro or hot sauce

    *For vegan version: minus the turkey from this recipe!
